I found Pickleball in 2018 after dealing with issues from a car accident. I was limping off the court after my 12 year old laid a pretty decisive beating on me in a game of tennis, 3 sets to 0.

A group was playing Pickleball on the courts beside us, one of the men invited me out to play the next week. I am sure he felt sorry for me and it was their last session of the season.

That next week I almost didn’t show up because I had been in tremendous pain all week. So I did not appear rude, I decided I would go and play 2 games with them. Those 2 games turned into 2 hours of the most fun I had in the couple of years since my car accident and I surprisingly was not bed ridden the next day.

It took a while before I found PPG and a little while longer and a lot of harassing before I became a member. From there I went from playing once a week to some times 5 times a week in a few months, I was addicted and many of the issues I had from the car accident were clearing up!
The best decision I have ever made was to go and play those 2 games. Pickleball is the sport I never knew  I wanted and I have met friends I never knew I needed.

Now my goal is to bring Pickleball to as many people as possible in Halon Hills.

Everyone can play this game and they should be!
