COVID Protocols

HHPA will follow all Public Health Guidelines in place in the spring of 2021.

In keeping with Covid safety requirements, HHPA has explored options for added measures at Emmerson Park when play resumes.

1. Contact tracing A Court Monitor will be provided for each session run by HHPA. All players will sign in with the monitor, we will meet the Public Health Guidelines
for Covid screening for every person who plays.

2. HHPA will schedule 10 minutes between sessions to avoid crowding. Players arriving early for court time will be asked to remain in an area outside of the
courts.

3.Players will be required to sanitize their hands upon entering the courts, a sensitization station will be located at the entrance just inside the gate.

4. Each court will have a hand sanitizing on the back fence of the court. Players will be required to sanitize their hands and the ball before and after games.
Covid

5. If a Player develops or appears to develop symptoms of Covid 19, they will be asked to immediately leave Emmerson Park.

6. While the Covid guidelines are in place, in the case of open play, if a couple or team decides they will only partner together, their decision will be respected by all other players. The team will still be required to rotate with the flow of the group and will not monopolize a court.

Physical Distancing Measures

In Compliance with the COVID 19 Response Framework: Keeping Ontario Safe and Open. No matter the zone all sessions will be screened and all hygiene protocols will be enforced for the 2021 outdoor season.

HHPA is only addressing Outdoor play for spring and summer 2021. In all Sessions players not playing will be required to wait outside the courts.

Grey Zone – No HHPA Pickleball Events

Red Zone – Training only Singles or Doubles with members from the same household, using 4 courts to keep physical distancing, 1 to 1 1/2 hour time slots.
Drop down to 20 participants per session.

Orange Zone – Limited regular play, Max 24 members per session. Each session 1 ½ hours. 10 Minutes between sessions.

Yellow Zone – Regular Play, Max 32 players per session, 4 players per court. 8 substitutes waiting outside courts.

Green Zone – Same as Yellow Zone, unless otherwise determined by Public Health.
